Adverse Weather
If/when snow happens we will endeavour to open nursery. We have a limited number of local staff that can walk so we will try to open.
The number of children we could accommodate may be dependent on staffing as we have to maintain ratios and risk assess, also taking into consideration heating and food supply
We will keep you informed via the website.
We may have to open for reduced hours; opening later than 8am and closing earlier than 6pm to allow staff to travel safely.
We may not be able to give confirmation of opening times until we know definitely how many staff are able to get to nursery; we will keep our website updated with opening/closing times. Previously we have worked on reduced hours for example 9am til 4pm.
We are unable to offer refunds due to adverse weather closures, as stated in our terms and conditions.
We may have to prioritise children of parents such as Doctors/Nurses/Emergency Services/Teachers.
If you attempt to come to nursery on a snow day please be aware the hill on Valley Road is treacherous, please be careful when driving or walking.
If snow reports advise of worsening weather during the day we may have to adapt our opening times accordingly.
